Privacy Policy

What We Collect

BetClarity LLC (“BetClarity,” “we,” “us”) collects only the information necessary to provide the service:

• Email address — used to create and manage your account.
• Betting data — synced from connected sportsbooks or entered manually. This includes bets, stakes, odds, outcomes, and related metadata.
• Sportsbook credentials — when you connect a sportsbook, you authenticate directly with that sportsbook on your device. Credentials are stored locally in your device's secure keychain and are never transmitted to BetClarity servers.
• Account activity from connected sportsbooks — alongside your bets, this includes account balances and the promotions, bonuses, and free bets available to you, so we can display them and estimate their value. We never see or store payment cards, banking details, or any means of moving money.
• Technical and device information — information needed to keep your connections working and notifications flowing, including sync and session records, notification tokens, and, where a sportsbook requires one, an encrypted device-trust token that keeps you from having to repeat two-factor verification on every sync. A device-trust token is not a password and cannot be used to sign in on its own.
• Content you create — anything you enter yourself, such as manually added bets, tags, notes, custom bet systems, profile details, and requests you send us.
• Diagnostic sync data — to diagnose and fix import and tagging errors, we may retain a limited, trimmed sample of the raw data a sportsbook returns during a sync (and fuller samples for a small set of internal test accounts). This data is capped in size, automatically deleted after 60 days, and removed entirely when you delete your account.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Provide analytics, performance metrics, and insights about your betting history.
• Sync your bet history from connected sportsbooks.
• Send notifications about sync activity or account events, if enabled.
• Send occasional product news — new features, upcoming releases, and service announcements. These are on by default and can be turned off at any time in Profile → Notification Settings without affecting sync or account alerts.
• Generate anonymized, aggregated insights to improve our products and services.

We may use anonymized, aggregated, or de-identified data — which cannot reasonably be used to identify you — to improve our products, develop new features, and produce industry research. The analyses, insights, and visualizations BetClarity generates from your data are proprietary to BetClarity.

How We Share Information

We do not share your individual personal information with advertisers or data brokers for their own marketing, and we do not serve advertising in BetClarity. Information you provide or that we collect may be used, aggregated, analyzed, licensed, or otherwise disclosed by BetClarity, including to research, analytics, media, and commercial partners. Your sportsbook login credentials are never included — they never reach our servers in the first place.

We may also disclose information to the service providers listed below, to comply with law or valid legal process, to enforce our Terms, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to govern until the successor posts its own. You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time — see Your Privacy Rights below.

Automatically Collected Information

When you use BetClarity, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

• Device type, operating system, and browser information.
• IP address and approximate location (country/region level).
• Usage patterns such as pages visited and features used.
• Website analytics. Our website (but not the mobile app) uses Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand traffic and how pages are used. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and assigns a random client identifier, and information including your IP address is processed by Google. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or by sending a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser, which we honor.
• Cookies and similar technologies used for authentication and session management. We do not serve advertising and do not use advertising cookies.

The BetClarity mobile app contains no advertising or analytics SDK. It collects crash and error reports only (see Service Providers below).

Data Storage & Security

Your betting data is stored on secure, managed cloud infrastructure with access controls enforced at the database layer (row-level security). Sportsbook credentials are stored locally on your device in the platform's secure keychain and are never stored on our servers. All data in transit is protected by HTTPS/TLS.

Service Providers

We use a small number of service providers to operate BetClarity. They process data only as needed to deliver their service to us, under their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage.
• Vercel — website and API hosting, plus website analytics.
• Sentry — crash and error reporting from the app and website.
• Apple Push Notification service (via Expo) — delivering push notifications, if you enable them.
• Resend — sending account emails such as sign-in codes and password resets.
• Google Analytics — website traffic analytics only (see above).

We also retrieve public sports schedules, scores, and odds reference data from third-party sports-data providers. That is an outbound request for public information — no personal data about you is sent to them.

Data Retention

Your betting history, balances, settings, and other account data are retained for as long as your account remains active. Diagnostic sync data is automatically deleted after 60 days.

When you delete your account, all data associated with it is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems, including your bets, balances, connections, device-trust tokens, notification tokens, diagnostic data, and your login itself. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

If you joined our email waitlist before creating an account, that waitlist entry (your email address and the date you joined) is stored separately and is not tied to your account. To have it removed, email us at privacy@betclarity.app. We may also retain limited records where we are required to by law.

Your Privacy Rights

In the app, at any time, you can:

• Delete your account and all associated data — Profile → Delete Account. This is immediate and irreversible.
• Disconnect any sportsbook, which clears its stored session from your device.
• Opt out of notifications from app settings or your device settings. Product news has its own switch, so you can stop those while keeping the alerts that tell you a sportsbook needs reconnecting.

Depending on where you live — including California (CCPA/CPRA) and states such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Oregon — you may also have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to.
• Access a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Delete your personal information.
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not degrade or deny you the service for doing so.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time by emailing privacy@betclarity.app with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” We also honor Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser as a valid opt-out request.

To exercise any right, email privacy@betclarity.app from the address on your account, or use in-app deletion. We will verify your request against your account and respond within the time your state's law requires (generally 45 days). An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response.

Not Affiliated with Sportsbooks

BetClarity is an independent analytics tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any sportsbook or gambling operator. Use of sportsbook brand names is solely for identification purposes.

Responsible Gambling

BetClarity is for informational and analytical purposes only. It does not facilitate gambling. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call 1-800-522-4700 or visit ncpgambling.org.

Age Requirement

BetClarity is intended only for individuals 21 years of age or older in the United States, and you must affirm that you are 21 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it promptly.

Security & Incident Notification

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption of sensitive stored values, and database-level access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and any regulators as required by applicable law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of BetClarity after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
